Whether it’s detailed watercolor portraits, wooden cutout figures, expressive landscapes, or installations, my body of work molds with me through every chapter. It is a visual diary capturing the influence and evolution of myself and what surrounds me. As myself, my work exudes emotion and color, and captures the essence of whatever fixates my eyes, moves my heart, and stimulates my mind.
Also known as Holmiga, is a multidisciplinary Dominican-Puerto Rican artist who works with portraits and landscapes to capture her social and personal narrative.
Andrea studied photography at Universidad Sagrado Corazón in Puerto Rico, and finished her studies in Illustration and Fine arts in Altos de Chavón in Dominican Republic.
Since then Andrea has been expressing her art in paintings, illustrations, tattoos, murals and mixed media, Her work has been exhibited in group exhibitions and solo shows, around the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Miami.
